Our 1st Eye Care offices were established in 1977 and have provided expert optical care for patients throughout the metroplex for over three decades. Our Weatherford and Fort Worth offices feature an extensive selection of the finest designer frames, state-of-the-art technology, and experienced optometrists, opticians, and eye care professionals to serve you.

Tom Annunziato O.D., Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Tom Annunziato established the 1st Eye Care offices in 1977 and is the owner of both practices in Fort Worth and Weatherford. Dr. Tom graduated from the University of Houston College of optometry. He is an Eagle Scout, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Dr. Tom is a father of five, his favorite activity is spending quality time with his wife Tracey, and family. He has been a marathon cyclist for 22 years, and volunteers his time and medical services to shelters, churches and charities across Texas. He was awarded Optometrist of the Year for the United States in 2005, and the same year, Dr. Annuziato was also awarded Optometrist of the Year for Texas. Dr. Annuziato currently works at the Weatherford and Fort Worth locations, still serving patients with excellence and dedication.

Perry Ayers A.B.O.C., General Manager & Certified Optician

Perry has over 26 years of experience in the optical industry and has been with 1st Eye Care now for 15 years. He is available to assist and monitor our patients that require the use of advanced optics to solve difficult visual conditions. Perry enjoys his work as well as spending time with his family and time in the outdoors participating in wildlife conservation projects.

Lien Lam, O.D., Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Lam joined 1st Eye Care in Fort Worth, January 2004. Dr. Lam graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2001. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Science & Biology from the University of Houston. As a glaucoma certified therapeutic optometrist, Dr. Lam utilizes the latest in technology to diagnosis eye conditions that might otherwise go unnoticed. In her free time, Dr. Lam enjoys her social life, traveling, spending time with her husband and children, reading and exercise.

Michael Latimer, O.D., Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Michael Latimer joined 1st Eye Care in Weatherford, July 2004. Dr. Latimer graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2004 after completing two internships at Houston Eye Associates, specializing in Corneal Disease and the Diagnosis and Management of Glaucoma. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. Dr. Latimer is Secretary of the Tarrant County Optometric Society. In his free time, Dr. Latimer enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing golf, softball, and snow skiing.

Kelly Mayer, Office Manager & Optometric Technician

Kelly has 12 years experience in the optical industry and has been with 1st Eye Care for 5 years. She is currently enrolled at Tarrant County College to obtain her business degree. Kelly is married with 1 child and enjoys shopping, traveling, and sports.

Jennifer Carnes, Insurance Manager

Jennifer is the Insurance Manager for both locations with 15 years experience in the healthcare billing industry. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, is active in her church and loves scrapbooking.

Michelle Brookshire, A.B.O.C., Optical Manager

Michelle is the Optical Manager of Weatherford and certified Optician with 23 years experience. Michelle is Beta Sigma Phi, enjoys traveling, reading, embroidery, and spending time with family and friends.

Craig Edward, Optical Manager & Certified Optician

Craig has 24 years experience in the optical industry. He enjoys working in a professional optometric office where he has access to the tools and name brand products necessary to improve our patients appearance and lifestyle. Craig enjoys sports, history, and working closely with our patients.

Richard Bronaugh, Senior Optician & Lab Manager

Richard has been with 1st Eye Care for 17 of the 35 years he’s been in the optical business. Richard is a US Marine and likes to spend time with family and church.

Christie Olijnyk, Optometric Technician

Christie is an Optometric Technician with 23 years of experience, and has been with 1st Eye Care for 4 years. Christie enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family.

Hope Smith, Optometric Assistant

Hope has 17 years experience in optometry, 13 years with 1st Eye Care. Hope enjoys spending time with family and bike riding.

Jennifer Brannan, Optometric Technician

Jennifer joined our team in 2008 and has 14 years experience in the industry with both CPO and CPOA certifications. Jennifer enjoys camping and riding 4wheelers.

Mary Crouch, Dispensing Optician

Mary is a Dispensing Optician with 6 years experience. Mary has 3 children and enjoys playing baseball, going to the lake and shopping.

Glad Campbell, Certified Optician

Glad is a Certified Optician with 12 years experience. Glad is very active at her church and enjoys working with patients, feeding the homeless and mentoring young people.

Kelly Luecke, Certified Para Optometric Assistant

Kelly is a Certified Para Optometric assistant with over 13 years experience. Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially outdoors.

Becca Annunziato, Optical Technician

Becca is starting her career with 1st Eye Care while attending Tarrant County College. Becca enjoys working out and spending time with family and friends.
